HANNAH SMITH & RALPH MCCUBBIN HOWELL

Something that I find really exciting about solo work is that the audience is the other actor in the piece, which means every show is different.”

Talk about a dynamic duo! Today we’re lucky enough to have Hannah Smith and Ralph McCubbin Howell of the award-winning theatre company Trick of the Light Theatre here to speak to their experience, professional practice and their creative process behind making solo-theatre.

THOM MONCKTON

We’re all after a bit of joy this week and we’re lucky to be joined by the brilliant theatre-maker Thom Monckton with our latest TAHI Mahi episode.

From designing a brand new solo work to the weird and wonderful process of an artist , Thom sheds light on his experiences and unique style.

Music by Tuomas Norvio.

JULIA CROFT & NISHA MADHAN

ATTN: Julia Croft and Nisha Madhan are interrupting your feed this evening with the latest TAHI Mahi episode on solo theatre. [view full screen for full experience]

MIRANDA HARCOURT

Miranda Harcourt takes a break from her film-set coaching and joins us from BATS Theatre to talk about the solo show Verbatim and her collaboration with writer William Brandt, director Colin McColl and designer Merylyn Tweedie. Verbatim's multiple-characters provide accounts of violent crime and encounters with the prison system - that still catch our breath some 20 years later.

Filmed by Tane Hipango at BATS Theatre.
